Instant Whey

Instant Whey is a fitness supplement that is supposed to work by promoting muscle gain while encouraging fat loss. This product is manufactured by a company known as Reflex Nutrition, which operates out of the United Kingdom. While the primary market of this product is bodybuilders, it is also geared towards athletes who need to boost their protein intake so that they will not risk burning muscle in their workouts.

According to the official website for this product, Instant Whey provides a substantial protein boost while keeping carbs and fats at a minimum. The official website does focus primarily on athletic performance and muscle building but it does indicate that it "can be used by those looking to lose weight as well," since it claims to have fat burning properties.

This fitness supplement is meant to be taken as a shake. It is a protein powder that needs to be mixed water or skim milk in a blender or a shaker in order to create the experience of drinking a milkshake. When used according to the directions, two to three servings of this product should be consumed every day in order to achieve the best results.

This product contains an extremely long list of ingredients are whey protein isolate and whey protein concentrate. The complete formulation provides a huge boost of protein in each serving. For every 100 grams of this product, the user receives 74 grams of protein but only 3.7 grams of fat and 11 grams of carbs. There are over two teaspoons of sugar in that amount (8.4 grams), which can be harmful to an individual's insulin regulation. This can work against the effort to avoid excess calories or, more importantly, the issue of food cravings.

Equally, when used following a workout, that extra hit of sugar can help to provide the user with a burst of energy in order to help to counteract the risk of fatigue. This is important as fatigue is a risk after an intense workout as well as during the digestion of protein.

The flavors in which Instant Whey are sold include: Banana & Custard, Banoffee Pie, Choc-Mint Perfection, Chocolate Peanut Butter, Chocolate Perfection, Cinnamon Vanilla Roll, Raspberry Delight, Strawberries & Cream, and Vanilla Ice Cream.

At the time that this review was written, customer reviews for this product appeared to be quite varied. Many of the comments were relating to flavor preference more than actual performance.
