Barbara Morris-Baumgarten, CEO of CCFI, She has been the fire that burns behind the scenes at CCFI for over 10+ years now, creating and directing our recruiting, hiring and staff development, as well as building relationships with new clients. Ms. Morris-Baumgarten has an extensive background in the health field, having worked with patients of all ages and challenges, she is relentless in her pursuit for improving our Customer Service and relationships with our current clients and building new relationships with new & potential clients. Barbara is certified by the National Academy of Sports Medicine and is also a Certified Life Coach. As a multiple cancer survivor herself, she advocates an Eastern Philosophy of mind, body, and spirit in addition to fitness training and nutritional support. Ms. Morris-Baumgarten is a former fitness competitor/bodybuilder, Ballroom Dancer, Martial Artist and accomplished equestrian. She is involved in many charities, including supporting the Special Olympics, animal rescue and the conservation of nature and finding alternative means of Energy to improve our Global enviroment.


Douglas Baumgarten, M.S.,  is a graduate of Harvard University and holds a Masters degree in Exercise Science from California University of Pennsylvania. He has over 25 years of experience in the fitness field, and has achieved certifications from the American College of Sports Medicine, National Academy of Sports Medicine, and American Academy of Health-Fitness Professionals. Mr. Baumgarten is a columnist for Fitness OnSite magazine and contributes to numerous fitness and management publications, in addition to serving as an Expert Witness on fitness in the legal field. He is also an accomplished athlete, and serves as a high school sports official. Doug currently acts as a consultant and has actively moved into the legal field as an expert witness on a full time basis.

Catherine Rhodes has a plethora of management and operational experience and has worked with
5-Diamond resorts, exclusive spas, private country clubs, upscale salons, and personally owned
wellness operations.  Having a Master’s Degree in Exercise Physiology and MBA coarse work in
Business & Leadership, she has the education to back up her experience from business analysis
to operational cost reviews, from creative revenue producing programming to spa products, team
development to treatment design, inventory to sales, from the fundamental daily operations to group
presentations, all while efficiently prioritizing and appropriately planning.  
 

Catherine always leads by example, maintaining the highest level of professionalism and integrity 
while being courteous,efficient and effective in service to guest, team members, managers and owners. 
She takes great pride in problem solving, planning and program profitability.  She strives to continually
improve the guest experience and encourages multi-level collaboration in the process. 
Catherine is passionate about her field, as you will find with her 15 years of commitment to the industry. 
She is energetic, creative, sophisticated, articulate, and compassionate. Her attributes consist of, but
not limited to, an effervescent personality, cutting edge creativity, a win/win solutions implementer, a

The CCFI Regional Directors


Marc Rice has been with CCFI since 2004.  He holds an Associate's Degree in Exercise Science from Central Texas College, which he attended during his tenure as Drill Seargent in the US Army.  He has also acheived certifications from the International Sport Sciences Assn. and National Federation of Personal Trainers.  As our Fitness Director at the renowned Woodmont Country Club in Rockville, MD, Mr. Rice oversees a highly reputed fitness program for golfers and other club members.  Marc also assists in the hiring and training process for CCFI new candidates and employees.  Marc is very involved with the Woodmont Fitness Committee as well as over seeing 2 other very well know Country Club Fitness Centers and their committee's in advising of programs and helping with updating and adding new equipment on an ongoing basis.  He currently resides in Silver Spring, MD and enjoys racquetball, rock climbing, and weight training.


Gil Lopez:  Regional Director in charge of Software programs and training, Manual interpretation & Staff Development has been with CCFI since 2002.  Gil run the Maryland Club Fitness Center and is also very active in over seeing the Computer programs that CCFI uses to keep our staff on the cutting edge of Fitness and the Software we use in our clubs.  Gil is very dedicated to CCFI and the advancement of the club programs and education for our staff in all of the clubs we run. Gil also over see's the International Club Fitness Center Program in Virginia. He is always available to the staff for training on the software as well as doing site visits to potential new clubs who are interested in having the best Fitness Programs and staff available in the Fitness Industry. Mr. Lopez holds certifications with ,Army Master Fitness Instructor, AAAI/ISMA Fitness Facility Director Certification, AAAI/ISMA Advance Trainer Certification, AAAI/ISMA Sport Nutrition Certification,  American Heart-CPR and AED

 Gil resides in the Baltimore area with his wife and children.  He is a 20 year Veteran of the United States Military and his dedication to his family and CCFI makes him one of our shining stars at CCFI.

Chris Vance: Regional Director in charge of Procurement, design and Equipment Selection.  Chris has been with CCFI since 2000 and has been involved with numurous club redesigns and works hard to get the best deals on equipment to pass on to our clients.  Chris also runs the Elkridge Country Club Fitness Center as well as over sees his Regional area of Pennsyvania, with St. Clair Country Club as one of his centers he over see's.  He currently is working on several new club designs and equipment layout plans.  Chris is always finding ways of helping our clubs save money and putting their budgets to the best us possible by working on getting the "bang for the buck".  Chris's knowledge and expertise on equipment and layouts makes working with him easy and stress free, which is always an important part of the process when you are busy with a club rennovation/remodel. Chris holds certifications from, American Council on Exercise-Personal Training, Titlest Golf-Level 2 Golf Exercise Specialist,  Resist a Ball-C.O.R.E Certified, Medic First Aid-CPR and AED  Chris lives in the Baltimore area with his wife.
